Ingredients
200 great Chana
25 great Chana masala powder
1 bunch kothimeera
1 Tsp ginger garlic paste
2 green chillies
2 onion
2 tomatoes
1 lemon
3 Tbsp oil
1 salt
1 pinch turmeric
Few whole garam masala ilachi, cloves, Chekka, bay leaf star mace.
Soak Chana in water over night or cook the same day soak them in warm water for at least 5 to 6 hours.
Pressure cook chole
Drain the chole, reserve the lid
Chop the onion and tomatoes
Heat oil in a deep pan add cumin seeds and whole garam masala
When change colour add choped onions
To it and fry till they are brown
Add ginger garlic paste to it and saute 2 minutes
Add all tomatoes till they are soft and mashed up
Green chillies
Add Chana to the powder and mix gently so that chole are properly coated in mixture
Add the reserve water depending on the gravy check and need seasoning
Lime juice.
Sim stove and cook covered with for 5 to 6 minutes and garnish with kathimeera leaves
Serve with batura, Puri or chapathi.
